What does he like in a card? Here's three tips to help you create your Father's Day card this week...

1. Some sort of mechanics or fancy-fold. This card is a Centre-Step Card, which is easy to create, fun to open and highlights that gorgeous big door stamp.
2. Texture! Down the sides of the centre-step are "brick walls" created using Embossing Paste. I coloured the white Embossing Paste using Sahara Sand ink and applied it to Shimmery White card stock through a brick mask. Once the Embossing Paste was dry, I sponged Sahara Sand ink over the top. There is also implied texture in the wood texture door.
3. Colour! Neutrals are great for masculine cards, but don't be afraid of colour! On my Father's Day card I added a splash of Pacific Point and a little touch of Daffodil Delight to an otherwise neutral palette.

I think my Father's Day card meets the brief and is sure to be appreciated by him.
