Yesterday we had the Hamilton Extravaganza. We got close to 100 stampers on the day and everyone who attended had a great time. How our extravaganzas work is, five pairs of demonstrators prepared and taught a project, moving from table to table so at the end of the day everyone who attended took home five lovely creations. I was fortunate to be paired up with Rachael, a very creative demonstrator from Auckland. She came up with this lovely box, which is what we demonstrated on the day.

Brownies Box

Stamps: Spotlight on Christmas (115876), Oval All (116877). Card/Paper: Old Olive (106576), Chocolate Chip (108599), Baja Breeze (116207), Whisper White (106549), Ski Slope Designer Series Paper (112994). Ink: Old Olive (102277), Real Red (106578). Accessories: Silver Brads (104336), Real Red 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon (109052). Tools: Corner Rounder Punch (109047), Scallop Oval Punch (114889), Large Oval Punch (107305), 5-Petal Flower Punch (109041), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).

The box is made for a chocolate brownie (which was included as part of the pack), but it would also be great for Christmas Cake, truffles, ...

As a part of the day, all the demonstrators contributed items for the door prizes. Two of the ladies from our workshops each won one of the ten door prizes. For my contribution, I re-made the Just Beachy acetate box and filled it with chocolate almonds. Certainly, the door prize that was most coveted was the cookies-in-a-jar made by Rachael.

Cookies in a Jar

Everyone who attended got a bag of goodies from their demonstrator. Each one of my bags had a name tag.

I had a lot of fun making making these and used the Certainly Celery ribbon we got as a part of the ribbon bundle promotion in August. The only down-side was that I used a new alphabet stamp set, which took me two-hours to mount! The bag also included a small chocolate-gift from me.
