Call Me Clover

Continuing on with an overview of the new 2018-2020 In Colors, I want to introduce you to our final colour, the lovely Call Me Clover… Call Me Clover is a conservative shade of Irish Green that is clean and fresh. Cooler or more blue than Garden Green, warmer than Tranquil Tide, Call Me Clover is similar in tone to the new Shaded Spruce, but less intense. This gorgeous jade is perfect for a beautiful green impact on your projects.

The rhino and bird were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured with Stampin' Blends. The rhino was coloured using Smoky Slate Dark and Light Stampin' Blends, then the horn lightened using the Color Lifter. The sweet little bird is in Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, and Daffodil Delight. Blueberry Bushel

Continuing on with an overview of the new 2018-2020 In Colors, I want to introduce you to our fourth colour, the beautiful Blueberry Bushel... Blueberry Bushel is both a bright shade and dark shade of azure-blue. This deep, vivid hue is similar to Pacific Point but more saturated, however, not as dark as Night of Navy. Blueberry Bushel is a beautiful royal blue with a depth of colour that reminds me of the ocean.

This thank you card features only a single stamped image. This bold focal-point is from the pretty Accented Blooms stamp set. The card is finished with a length of Night of Navy Medium Baker's Twine tied down the side. The Night of Navy Medium Baker's Twine has a lovely twist that looks like it's been braided!
For this second project featuring Blueberry Bushel, I picked out a darker-grain pattern from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack, and white embossed it with the floral image from the Accented Blooms stamp set. This I mounted onto the front of a tall, thin card (finished size: 3" x 6")…

Tools: Tailored Tag Punch (145667), Heat Tool (129056), Embossing Buddy (103083), Aqua Painter (103954), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).The Accented Blooms stamp set coordinates perfectly with the Tailored Tag Punch, which I've used to punch out the void in the stamp. The piece that I punched out is mounted on the back of the card, so it peeks through the opening on the card front.
The stamped sentiment and flowers are in Blueberry Bushel, which makes a great accent on this card. For the flowers, I gave a piece of Whisper White card stock a light wash of Blueberry Bushel ink and heat set it before the card stock deteriorated. I then stamped the flowers from the bottom-right of the main image in Blueberry Bushel ink and hand-cut out three to add to my card. The card was then finished with a little silver bling... Silver Metallic Thread tied in a bow on the card edge and the new Silver Metallic Pearls.
This is a really versatile card-style. In fact this card is a copy of a similar one that I created for Miss-just-turned-15! Instead of "Love You", I stamped a birthday sentiment in gorgeous Blueberry Bushel ink. It's her birthday today and I hope she loves what I've created for her.
Pineapple Punch

Continuing on with an overview of the new 2018-2020 In Colors, I want to introduce you to our third colour, the vibrant Pineapple Punch... Pineapple Punch is a playful, sunny yellow that is clean and fresh. This cool hue is more intense than So Saffron, but softer and less orange than Daffodil Delight or the more saturated Crushed Curry. Pineapple Punch is a well-balanced yellow that is a welcome addition to our colour collection.

This sunny card features lovely, stamped words from the Abstract Impressions stamp set, paired with a die-cut daisy flower from the Springtime Impressions Thinlit Dies. Tucked in behind the stamped panel is the brilliant Pineapple Punch 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon. I love working with grosgrain ribbon as it's just soft enough to be pliable, but firm enough for bows and loops to have structure. This narrow, go-with-anything ribbon is available in all the new 2018-2020 In Colors.
For this second project, I paired Pineapple Punch with the gorgeous Mango Melody, one of our new core colours. But wait, there's more! I there's a second new colour here too! The words are stamped in Pacific Point and underneath is a wash of the pretty, new Balmy Blue…

This Lustrous White Mini Gable Box is similar to Shimmery White card stock and has a gorgeous sparkle to it. You can use these boxes just as they are, or have the added option of colouring them. I've added a wash of Pineapple Punch and Mango Melody inks along the bottom edge of my Mini Gable Box using the Aqua Painter. I then finished the gift box with some additional splatters of Mango Melody ink.
Although the box material looks similar to Shimmery White card stock, it is not as robust and doesn't stand for much wetness before the fibres start to swell and deteriorate. If you try this wash method to colour your Lustrous White Mini Gable Box, work quickly, don't repeatedly go over an area, and dry it with a Heat Tool as quickly as you can. I added stamped and die-cut details to the front of the gift box using the Abstract Impressions stamp set and Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies, then finished the top with one of the pretty Blossoms Elements, which are petite resin flowers...
I created these thank you gift boxes and filled them with goodies for my lovely hosts at the Cambridge and Te Awamutu Workshops. I can't wait to give them away!
Lovely Lipstick

Continuing on with an overview of the new 2018-2020 In Colors, I want to introduce you to our second colour, the gorgeous Lovely Lipstick... Lovely Lipstick is an intense red-heavy magenta that is rich and luscious. This cool red has a touch of purple like Melon Mambo, but with more saturation. Lovely Lipstick sits between red and pink with bluer undertones when compared to it's warmer Real Red cousin, but doesn't tend towards a fuchsia-purple like Berry Burst.

Photos don't adequately show the gorgeous texture that comes from the Subtle embossing folder, you really have to see and touch it to appreciate how lovely it is.
Grapefruit Grove

With every new Annual Catalogue there are five new, on-trend colours introduced to the Stampin' Up! palette, these are called the In Colors. These colours are injected into our vocabulary to create new colour combinations and keep our creativity fresh. From the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue, I want to welcome one of the new 2018-2020 In Colors called Grapefruit Grove... Grapefruit Grove is the subtlest of the new, brilliant 2018-2020 In Colors. It is a yellowish-orangish-pinkish hue that could be best described as peach or apricot. Grapefruit Grove is a dusty orange that is not as yellow or as intense as Pumpkin Pie and, although this pretty colour has pink undertones, it is cooler and less pink than Flirty Flamingo and less red than Calypso Coral.

This pretty friendship card features some of the products from the Delightfully Detailed Suite, including the beautiful Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper. The die-cut flowers on the card are a section I cut from one of the laser-cut sheets and added them to the card with some pretty Grapefruit Grove Faceted Dots...
Here's two another cards that feature the new Grapefruit Grove colour and the Delightfully Detailed Suite. This first one is the alternative make-and-take for the Annual Catalogue Launch Party. It uses the Detailed With Love stamp set and coordinating Detailed Trio Punch with the Delightfully Detailed Note Cards & Envelopes. These are pre-cut and scored vanilla card bases that have a printed colour-wash of either Mint Macaron or Blackberry Bliss, like this one...

Here's a second card using the same card base, but this time overlayed with a laser-cut panel. The Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper has two different designs: one is a framed 12" x 12" (30.5 cmx 30.5 cm) bouquet of flowers, and the other includes project elements for cutting out, including pieces sized to fit the front of a 5" x 3-1/2" (12.7 cm x 8.9 cm) Delightfully Detailed Note Card. Plus, the delicate designs are white on one side and vanilla on the other - so versatile!
