In New Zealand, we celebrate Father's Day on the first Sunday of September. So I am getting a head start on some ideas for this special day. This Father's Day card is brought to you by the Traveler stamp set, one of my favourites in the Annual Catalogue...
Stamps: Traveler (wood: 134510, clear: 134513), Teeny Tiny Sentiments (wood: 130042, clear: 120024). Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento Pad (132708), Soft Suede (126978). Card/Paper: Basic Black (121688), Soft Suede (119982), Very Vanilla (106550), Typeset Specialty Designer Paper (133704). Accessories: 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon (132140), Linen Thread (104199), Antique Brads (117273). Tools: Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (113439), Large Scallop Edgelits Dies (127019), Fun Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folders (133727), Banner Punch (133519), Paper Piercing Tool (126189), Stampin' Pierce Mat (126199), Essentials Paper Piercing Pack (126187), Stamping Sponges (101610), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).
There are many reasons why I love the Traveler stamp set. From a practical point-of-view, this stamp set has images that are gender neutral and are very easy to use for masculine cards. On a personal note, the stamp set has lovely, detailed sketched images that make me smile and want to use them.
Traveler wood-mount (134510) - $58.95
Traveler clear-mount (134513) - $41.95
For my Father's Day card I stuck to neutrals to go with the vintage look of the camera - Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede and the Typeset Specialty DSP. All the elements are sponged in Soft Suede ink, which gives it a soft sepia-look.
The layout was inspired by the new Around The World Stampin' Up! Challenge...
