Have you seen the Tea Shoppe stamp set in the Autumn-Winter Mini? I looked at it a couple of times, but decided not to buy it. Then I saw some really lovely, lovely creations using it and now it is on my wish list!
I am fortunate to have a wonderful friend who has lent me the Tea Shoppe stamp set so I can have a play. I wanted to make some little gifts for some friends and to give to my Cambridge and Te Awamutu workshop hostesses, so I made a few of these pretty notepads...

The colours and the emerging colour technique used with the teacup image on Claire Daly's card was my inspiration. The emerging colour technique is when you clear emboss over DSP or stamped images and then brayer ink over everything. The ink only settles on the card stock and wipes off the embossing. So for the teacup image here...
... I stamped Very Vanilla card stock with the En Français background stamp in Soft Suede (stamping it off first to get a lighter stamped image). I also stamped the flower from the Elements of Style stamp set in Daffodil Delight. I then ran the Embossing Buddy over the card stock before stamping the tea cup from the Tea Shoppe stamp set in VersaMark. Clear embossing powder was added and heat set. Now the fun part... I loaded up my brayer with Soft Suede ink and brayered over the whole thing. Once I was happy with the coverage, I wiped off the excess ink from the embossing. Voilà , the colour under the embossed image emerges!
The flowers were done similarly. This time I clear embossed the tea cup image onto Pool Party card stock and brayed in Soft Suede. I then cut out the flowers and adhered them with Mini Glue Dots to my tea cup. A few pearls to finish.
Here's a diarama card I made at a recent Crafters Anonymous class that uses the same colours and technique...

The tea cup image from the Tea Shoppe stamp set works so well with the emerging colour technique. You will find this stamp set and a number of the products used on this card in the Autumn-Winter Mini, which finishes at the end of this month (that's a week away!). I have one last order to place with Stampin' Up! this month so, if you would like this stamp set before the mini finishes, let me know by Friday.
