The card is stamped using the Incredible Like You stamp set for the floral images and the words, "hope your day is as amazing as you", then customised the card for Mother's Day using a stamp from the Itty Bitty Greetings. This card would also make a lovely birthday or thank you card, just by changing the "Happy Mother's Day" for "Happy Birthday" or "Many Thanks".

The soft, vintage feel on the back of the card was created by applying Whisper White ink directly onto to the Lace Dynamic Embossing Folder before embossing the Sahara Sand card stock...

I made a small trinket box to coordinate with the Mother's Day card, which would be perfect for gifting a lovely broach or sweet treats. I saw this gift box design many, many years ago and I believe the original inspiration was demonstrated by Shelli Gardner at a past Stampin' Up! Convention.

The structure of this trinket box is actually the inner cardboard roll from the Mini Glue Dots. After covering the outside and lining the inside of a cardboard roll with the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper, I adhered a die-cut circle to the bottom and one to the top. The top circle was only adhered on one half, so that that it opens like this...

This pretty trinket box was finished with Petal Pink and Fresh Fig spiral rolled roses and the cute Frosted Flower Embellishments...

Mother's day is all about celebrating and honouring the mother of the family, as well as maternal bonds and the influence of mother's in society. A handmade card and gift like these shows that special person how much they mean to you.
