Continuing with an overview of the new 2017-2019 In Colors, I want to introduce you to our second colour, the pretty Powder Pink...

Powder Pink is a soft baby pink like Pink Pirouette, but is more apricot and tends towards a blush, skin-tone. It is bluer and less saturated than the warmer Blushing Bride and Sweet Sugarplum.

This card layout was inspired by the colour swatches in the new Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack and it compares Powder Pink with three other current Stampin' Up! colours to help you get an understanding and appreciation for this pretty new colour...

This lovely "Hogs & Kisses" card features the This Little Piggy stamp set. This is such a cute set, and seeing the four pigs stamped in a row makes me think of Charlotte's Web - the many faces of Wilbur!

I stamped Watercolor Paper with the cute flying pig and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder, then used THIS easy watercoloured background technique with Powder Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum Stampin' Write Markers. Lastly, I spritzed the Watercolor Paper a second time, allowing the water to pool inside the embossed lines, then applied some extra Powder Pink and Sweet Sugarplum ink with an Aqua Painter, allowing the ink to spread and bleed into the pig image.

To finish, I added some whimsical elements my card... Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush applied to the wings, a petite punched flower with a pearl centre, a piece of Very Vanilla Lace Trim and the words cut out and scattered down the card. I love that sentiment: "She believed she could... so she did."
